Meredith had dreamed of participating in the Fuller Center for Housing Bike Adventure for ten years. At age 35 she worked as a Story Producer on American Ninja Warrior, Biggest Loser and The Voice. She is currently a Freelance TV Producer who loves her dog Bellamie, singing in Karaoke League and volunteering to read to 3rd graders at Los Angeles Elementary in the “Reading to Kid’s” program.
Meredith will provide updates along the way to
WomenBicycling readers as she begins her adventure June 3rd by dipping her rear wheel into the great Pacific in San Francisco, traversing cross country through twelve states, cycling 3600 miles to an island near historic Savannah, Georgia where she will dip her front wheel into the Atlantic Ocean at rides end, August 6th. Her journey includes climbing Colorado’s Freemont Pass, (11,318’), cycling historic Route 66, pedaling across New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and on through the hot humid southern states. While she has no knowledge of how to build homes she is eager to learn, wanting to be part of a solution to “give a hand up” to those less fortunate. The Fuller Center for Housing was founded by Millard Fuller and wife Linda, who founded Habitat for Humanity in 1976. To read more about Meredith’s challenge, the cities she will be cycling through building houses in, and more importantly help Meredith reach her fundraising goal by May 30th, please visit:
